Wichita Falls, TX—Author SaDonna Rogers has released The Best of Times, the fifth book in her DeLaine Reynolds Journey series. The series follows the aftermath of young Delaine’s experience as she tries to recover from the experience of the 1979 Terrible Tuesday tornado that struck her hometown.
The series is based on the true event of the devastating 1979 tornado which struck Wichita Falls, Texas on Tuesday, April 10, 1979. The category F4 tornado swept through the North Texas area destroying homes, businesses, and families.
Forty-six people died as a result of the tornado outbreak. It uprooted trees and telephone poles as well as the lives of the survivors. Returning to normal would be a challenge to everyone who was affected by the tremendous storm.
SaDonna Rogers has carefully crafted Delaine’s journey through the storm, its immediate aftermath, and the years following.
The Best of Times continues the fictional story of teenager Delaine Reynolds as she learns to survive and thrive in her upside-down adolescent world.
